Şubat 2008'den itibaren; iki haftada bir çıkardığı sayılarla yayın hayatına devam eden ve sektöre yeni bir soluk getiren; Türkiye'nin ilk online yayın yapan alternatif kültür dergisi Reset! Magazine; 22 Mayıs Cumartesi akşamı Indigo'da şahane bir gece daha düzenliyor.

Saat 23.15'te Reset! Magazine Dj'lerinin setiyle başlayacak olan gecede; ilerleyen saatlerde Reset! Magazine okurları ve müzik yazarları tarafından 2009'un en iyi çıkış yapan grubu seçilen ve son ep’leri Future Obscure ile isimlerinden epey söz ettiren The Revolters sahne alacak. 16 Nisan’daki coşkulu partiyi kaçıranlar; bu partiyi kaçırmamanızı öneririz.

2006 yılının sonlarına doğru Serhat Erman (vokal-gitar), Berkan Tomay (gitar-synths), İbrahim Kent(bass), Murat Şahin(davul) tarafından İstanbul’da kurulan The Revolters, 2007 tarihli ilk albümleri It’s Gonna Hurt A Little Ep’siyle dikkatleri çekti. Efsanevi İngiliz müzik dergisi NME tarafından “The Revolters: Turkish indie rockers ,best grass-roots talent around” başlığıyla tanıtılan grup, bu ülkenin müzik çevrelerince dikkat ve takdirle karşılandı. Daha sonra Atlantik’in diğer kıyısındaki müzik basını tarafından da yakın takibe alınan grup ,Amerikan moda ve müzik dergisi Dynamical Active Movement Magazine- New York tarafından kapağa taşındı ve grubun soundu yenilikçi ve farklı olarak tanımlandı.

İlk albümlerini Londra'da Cajun Dance Party, The Rakes ve The Horrors gibi gruplarla çalışan prodüktör Luke Buttery'la kaydeden The Revolters’ın “Future Obscure” adlı ilk albümünün masteringleri ise The Strokes’un albümlerinin de masteringlerini üstlenen Chris Athens tarafından yapıldı.Topkapı Müzik etiketiyle 17 Aralık’ta piyasaya çıkan albümün ilk single’ı olan “Shining On” şarkısının videosu 22 Aralık’tan itibaren MTV Türkiye ve Dream Tv ekranlarında yer almakta.

The Revolters are an indie rock/post punk/new wave band originally from Istanbul ,Turkey formed in the end of 2006. The current line-up consists of: Serhat Erman ( Vocals-Guitar), Berkan Tomay (Guitars-Synths), Ibrahim Kent (Bass), Murat Sahin (Drums). Touted as “very promising and breath taking” by the many music magazine, The Revolters have etched out a solid reputation as the cream of the crop of Istanbul musical scene’s most promising breaking buzz bands. Confident, charming, giddy and energetic have been used to describe the group’s impressive live performances. The band has been plugged as “amiable and watchable as a rock band can get”.

Debuting in 2007 with “It’s Gonna Hurt A Little” EP, they released their first single “Step by Step”. Step by Step" debuted The Revolters as an instant radio hit winning airplay from international and regional stations as well as widespread press acclaim. The band was noticed by NME and they appeared on 26th December 2008 issue. They took attention of the other side of the Atlantic and they were on the cover of Dynamical Active Movement Magazine New York on July 2009 Issue.The bands’ music defined as “innovative and different”. After Dito Godwin(ex No Doubt producer) listened It’s Gonna Hurt A Little EP ,he described The Revolters as “ the band who has an unlimited potential”.

They have previously supported IAMX, The Do and they appeared in big festivals as MTV Alternative Nation Music Festival, Masstival ( w/ Def Leppard, Stereophonics, Alanis Morisette).

The band recorded their second EP ; “Future Obscure” at London with the producer Luke Buttery( Cajun Dance Party, The Rakes, Nick Cave). The album will released by Universal/Topkapi Music in 17th December 2009 and they will premier their first video “ Shining On” in 15th December. The Revolters plan to release two more EP’s, one remix album and a full album which includes the other two Ep’s songs plus bonus songs in 2010.
